ENB Region 3 Completed Applications 11/19/2003

The applicant proposes to widen an existing gravel driveway crossing approximately 150 feet of Freshwater Wetland SP-71 (Class: II) from 8 feet to 15 feet in anticipation of future construction of a new house on 9 +/- acres.  The location is on the southside of Netherwood Road, just east of the intersection with Clinton Avenue.

The applicant proposes to construct a new house on 22 +/- acres with the house and driveway partly within the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland WD-32 (Class: II).  The area of adjacent area disturbance is approximately 5,000 square feet.  The location is on the north side of Coleman Road, approximately 350 feet west of the intersection with Berea Road.

The applicant proposes to install two water supply wells within the 100 foot adjacent area of wetland #GO-8 (Class II) in conjunction with a subdivision of 16 +/- acres into two lots.  The location is on the east side of State Route 211 south of the intersection with Bart Bull Road.

The applicant requests a modification of a permit issued by the Department in 1998 to straighten and realign 2,150 feet of the Demarest Kill (Class: "C(T)").  The modification is twofold:

1.    To extend the channelization another 1500 feet downstream (northward) and;

2.    To add rock rip-rap to the stream channel for scour protection.  The location of the project called the "Cranford Drive Flood Amelioration Project" extends from just north of Route 304 northward to almost the confluence with the West Branch of Hackensack River.
