Columbia County - The Town of Claverack, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Claverack creation of Water District No 1 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the creation of a Water district for municipal water supply pursuant to Town Law 209 et. seq. for residents located within Town of Claverack. The project is located in the Town of Claverack, Columbia County, specifically VanDuesen Road, Stone Mill Road, NY State Route 23B, NY State Route 23, NYS Route 9H, Old Lane, Old Lane extension, Maple Avenue, Rifenburg Lane, Webb Road, and Willmon Road.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Final EIS

Schenectady County - The Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Canal Square Corridor Redevelopment Projects. The action involves:

The Expansion of the Proctor's Theatre facilities, both within the existing theater and into parts of the adjoining former Carl Company building, including the renovation of a portion of the Carl Company building for offices, dressing rooms, a 500 seat theater and space for specialty retail and services;

The construction of a new 12-screen movie theater, "Diamond Cinema", in the southwest corner of State and Clinton Streets;

The construction of a four-story office building on the corner of State Street and Boardway on the former Hough Building site, which was demolished in 2002. This office building will also incorporate the adjoining 5-story Witbeck Building;

The construction of a three-story office building on the southeast corner of Hamilton and Broadway;

The renovation of existing buildings including the Cramer Building, and three commercial structures at 420, 422 and 426 State Street;

The former Canal Square courtyard, will be converted to a service court;

The construction of three additional office buildings consisting of approximately 90,000 square feet, 86,000 square feet, and 64,500 square feet, respectively; and

The construction of one or more parking garages with a capacity of at least 840 parking spaces.

The project is located in the City of Schenectady known as "Canal Square" generally consisting of State Street corridor between Broadway and Clinton Streets plus the blocks bounded by State Street, Clinton Street, Hamilton Street and Broadway.
