The project sponsor proposes
to expand a 7 acre, life-of-mine, surface
unconsolidated, sand and gravel mine to 12.5 acres, of which 6 acres is authorized
to be disturbed for mining and 1 acre will be used for a topsoil manufacturing area
during the coming permit term (5 years). At the topsoil manufacturing and stockpile
area, offsite soil will be combined with sand from the mine to create topsoil for
offsite use. No other changes to the mining operations are contemplated.
