Project Description: Applicant proposes to reconstruct an existing boat launch facility involving wetlands on Lake Champlain. In addition, a new 1.8 acre overflow parking lot will be developed on lands adjoining the existing site. In total, the facility will involve 4.5± acres. The project will include a sanitary pump-out, parking for 31 cars with trailers and 13 cars without trailers in the main parking lot, and an overflow for 32 cars with trailers. The existing wooden shore cribbing will be replaced by a metal sheetpile seawall (586 linear feet) and the existing concrete & asphalt launch ramp will be replaced with a new concrete launch ramp. Seasonal floating docks will be installed. The site adjoins the seasonal New York/Vermont ferry dock, Fort Ticonderoga, and NYS Route 74. The site is within a State highway critical environmental area.
