The applicant proposes to
take a supply of water for use in the existing Village of South
Dayton Water District system and service area by the installation of a new water supply
well, to be known as Well No. 5, with a pump capacity of 160 gallons per minute from
which 60,000 to 200,000 gallons of water per day will be withdrawn. Well No. 5 will
replace existing Well No. 1, which will be abandoned because of poor water quality. This
project also includes water treatment facility and water line installations. The applicant
also requests authorization for continued use of an existing water supply source, Well No.
4 (pump capacity of 60 gallons per minute), that is not currently covered by a permit. The
Village of South Dayton water system currently serves a population of approximately 650
through 275 service connections. Average daily demand is 42,107 gallons per day with a
peak daily demand of 65,000 gallons per day.

excavate a pond (125 ft. x 50 ft. averaging 6 feet deep) and use
the spoil material to raise the ground elevation around the applicant’s existing home,
within the regulated 100-foot wide adjacent area of State Freshwater Wetland CK-2. The
proposal is located on the applicant’s property on the west side of Dredge Ditch Road,
approximately 2 miles southeast of the intersection of Cherry Creek Leon and Dredge
Ditch Roads.
