The Talarico Sand
and Gravel mine proposes to renew their mining permit and expand the
approved life of mine boundary. The life of mine boundary will increase from 29.75 acres to
68.45 acres, with the permit term affected area increasing from 19.80 acres to 49.55 acres. On-site
minerals processing with portable equipment will continue. The mine is part of a 158.3 acre
parcel owned by Frank J. Talarico and is located 700 feet north of NYS Rt. 5 and 1000 feet west
of Eatonville Road in the Town of Herkimer, Herkimer County.
