The applicant proposes to rehabilitate and
improve an existing deteriorated timber and
brick shoreline by bulkheading approximately 300 lineal feet of shoreline with steel sheet
piling and the placement of 400 lineal feet of stone rip-rap in a two foot thick layer north
and south of the proposed sheet piling. In addition the project will include the
mechanical dredging of two irregularly shaped areas; one involving the removal of
approximately 45,860 cubic yards of sediment along the shoreline and the second in an
inlet area involving the removal of approximately 12,900 cubic yards of sediment.
