Project Description:

The applicant proposes to periodically skim and remove approximately 55 cubic yards of gravel from a gravel bar along 50 linear feet of Elm Creek.  The site is located at the Weeden Road bridge over Elm Creek, approximately 1,700 feet southeast of the intersection of Rt. 394 and Weeden Road, adjacent to the Randolph Village Park.

Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

None Designated
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
The applicant proposes a wetland restoration and enhancement project to improve wildlife habitat within an approximate 32 acre USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Wetland Reserve Program easement within State regulated Freshwater Wetland SR-8.  The proposal includes a five-acre complex of potholes with connecting level ditches excavated to create openwater habitat for migratory birds.  Some of the excavated spoil will be spread over disturbed areas to provide seedbeds and create visual barriers between potholes.  The remaining spoil will be spread in upland areas, outside of the wetland, and seeded with a conservation seed mix.
