The applicant proposes a
modification to the original permit for the Heise Brookhaven
Sanitary Trunk Sewer Line to modify the originally approved route to go through
approximately 325 feet of New York State regulated Freshwater Wetland LA-8 and the
contiguous 100 foot wide regulated Adjacent Areas of that wetland, including a crossing
of Got Creek at Thompson Road. The modification of the original route will eliminate
inconveniences to traffic along Roll Road during construction of the sewer line.

applicant has an existing discharge of approximately 8600 GPD of treated
wastewater to Pond Brook in the Town of Elma from Camp Centerland located at 2280
Bullis Rd, Elma, NY. The applicant plans to continue operation of the camp with no
changes.
The
department has made a tentative determination to re-issue a permit for a State
Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit under Article 17 of the Environmental
Conservation law. This tentative determination indicates that the discharge regulated
under this statute is considered to satisfy regulatory standards for permit issuance, based
on information available to the Department at this time. As a tentative determination, the
Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final
decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative determination does not signify
department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is sought or for
the overall proposed project.

The Department has prepared
a draft permit and made a tentative determination to
approve an application for the discharge of 175,000 gallons per day of treated sanitary
wastewater to Wolf Creek. The proposed site for the wastewater treatment system is on
the east side of Park Road East. The proposed discharge point for the treated effluent is
to Wolf Creek. The draft permit requires advanced secondary treatment of the
wastewater, seasonal disinfection and monitoring requirements to ensure proper treatment
prior to the discharge to Wolf Creek. The application and supporting documents, draft
permit (NY-0269336) and Fact sheet are available for review and comment during
normal business hours at the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation office
listed in this notice.
