| Project is Located: | Jefferson County |
| Project Description: | |
|
The applicant proposes to
replace an existing sewage system consisting of a septic tank
and leach field due to failure. The replacement system will be a sand filter system and
will include a septic tank, lift station/dosing tank, sand filters and UV disinfection at a
discharge rate of 2,800 gpd. It will be located on lawn in area H adjacent to the camping
loop. The discharge, Outfall 007, will be into a small wetland area adjacent to the
existing leach field. Discharge Notification Requirements (DNA) will apply to this
discharge at Outfall 007.
The Department has made
a tentative determination to issue a permit modification for a
State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit under Article 17 of the
Environmental Conservation Law. This tentative determination indicates that a discharge
regulated under this statute is considered to satisfy regulatory standards for permit
issuance, based on information available to the Department at this time. As a tentative
determination, the Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior
to making a final decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative determination does
not signify Department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is
sought or for the overall proposed project. Refer to this application by application
number listed above and SPDES number NY0035564.
