The applicant, as lessee,
for property owned by the City of Beacon proposes to construct a
floating, recreational wading pool on the Hudson River on the north side of Riverfront
Park. The pool will be 20 feet in diameter, attached to the shoreline with two 4 foot wide
gangways and anchored with four 6 foot by 6 foot by one foot concrete blocks. The pool
is intended as an experimental prototype and will include testing of various types of floor
materials for assessment in the design and development of a larger floating swimming
pool facility. The applicant proposes to hand remove existing water chestnut vegetation
below the pool location. The floor of the prototype pool will float a maximum of one
foot below the water surface. The pool structure will be removed at the end of the
recreational season.

(Class II). The site is located at the end of Elm Street within the existing Village DPW
complex. In addition to the new garage, a new stormwater quality basin measuring about
30 feet wide by 70 feet long would be constructed, and the concrete foundation of a

The applicant proposes to
replace the existing bridge over the Delaware River between
Barryville, NY and Shohola, PA. The existing 34-foot wide, three span bridge will be
replaced with a 52-foot wide six span bridge built immediately north of the existing
bridge. The project will involve the temporary filling of approximately 0.92 acre of the
Delaware River for construction of temporary causeways, and approximately 0.08 acre of
federally regulated wetlands. Permanent impacts include the filling of approximately
0.57 acre of the Delaware River for pier construction and scour protection, as well as the
filling of approximately 0.07 acres of federally-regulated wetlands. Approximately 0.10
acres of wetlands will be created on-site to mitigate wetland losses. The project also
involves the construction of a new pedestrian access to the Delaware River from River
Road on the New York side.

The
Town of North Castle, Water District #4, has applied for a Water Supply permit
(WSA# TBA) to increase the pumping rate from two of its existing, approved wells,
known as Business Park Wells #1 and #2 . The current approved rate for these wells is
250 gallons per minute (gpm) for each well and the Town has applied to increase that to a
new rate of 400 gpm each but not to be pumped simultaneously at this rate. This would
increase the total authorized taking for the Town's Water District #4 to a new total of
1,030,650 gallons per day (equal to 715 gpm) from a total of six wells, which also
includes the District's School Street Wells #1 & 2 and Whippoorwill Wells # 4 & 5.
The
Business Park wells are located on the former IBM property in the southwest
quadrant of the intersection of I-684 and Route 22, in the Hamlet of Armonk, Town of
North Castle, Westchester County, NY.
