Negative Declaration

Albany County - The City of Cohoes Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Van Schaick Island Residential Development, DCG Development Co. will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves Donald C. Greene, doing business as DCG Development Co., is developing a multifamily rental residential project of not more than 230 units within the permitted zoning on an approximately fifteen acre parcel on the northwestern side of Van Schaick Island in the City of Cohoes. The tax identification number for this property is 11.9-1-16.10.

Schenectady County - The Town of Niskayuna Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Neighborhood Mixed Use Building will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an amendment to the Town's Zoning Ordinance to allow mixed use buildings in the C-N; Neighborhood Commercial Zoning Districts. The project is located in the Town of Niskayuna.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Albany County - The School Board of the Bethlehem Central School District, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed New Grade 1-5 Elementary School on Van Dyke Road. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 3, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. at the Bethlehem Central School District Education Center, 90 Adams Place, Delmar, NY. The action involves construction of a new elementary school and associated sitework on district owned property. SED Control No. 01-03-06-06-0-026-001. The project on Van Dyke Road, Town of Bethlehem, Delmar, NY.

Schenectady County - The Schenectady Metroplex Development Authority ("Metroplex"), as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed Canal Square Corridor Redevelopment Project. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 16, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Schenectady City Hall, 105 Jay Street, Schenectady, NY. The action involves the renovation and revitalization of the Canal Square Corridor on State Street in the City of Schenectady, NY, including the expansion of Proctor's Theatre, the construction of Diamond Cinemas, the construction of several new office buildings and the renovation of existing structures for retail use.
