Positive Declaration

Dutchess County - The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Red Wing Properties Inc. proposed "Archer" mine may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the mining of sand & gravel from approximately 69 "Life-of-Mine" acres on a total site of 192 acres. The operation will be a "bank run" operation with no material processing. Reclamation will be either a return to agricultural use or allowable residential development. The project is located on the north side of Turkey Hill Road just west of the intersection with Odak Farm Road, Town of Milan.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS

Orange County - The Washingtonville Central School District Board of Education, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft EIS on the proposed New 7/8 School. The proposed capital project consisting of (1) construction of a new Grades 7/8 School, (2) additions and alterations to the existing Washingtonville High School, including a new access/egress road to a development at the northwest side of the site with connection to Route 208, and (3) alterations to the existing Middle School (over 50 years old) to convert it to a Grades 5/6 Elementary School. The project is located in Washingtonville.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft Generic EIS

Rockland County - The Village of Montebello Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic EIS on the propsed Adoption of Village of Montebello Comprehensive Plan, Adoption of Amendment to the Village of Montebello Zoning Local Law. The action involves the adoption of a comprehensive plan and zoning amendments that would implement same. The project is located in the Village of Montebello.
