Nassau County - The Village of Great Neck Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Generic EIS on the proposed East Shore Road Rezoning. The action involves the creation of new Waterfront Development and Mixed-Use zoning districts along East Shore Road between the Village of Kensington boundary to the south and the Village of Kings Point boundary to the north. Approximately 18.72 acres of land on the east side of East Shore Road would be rezoned to Waterfront Development, and approximately 8.21 acres on the west side of East Shore Road would be rezoned to Mixed-Use. An additional 0.18 acres of land would be rezoned from Business C to Residence B. The proposed rezoning would allow the land to be developed in a manner harmonious with the existing residential character of the neighborhood and Village. The rezoning of the properties on the east side of East Shore Road would provide public access to Manhasset Bay with a waterfront park and promenade. The project is located on East Shore Road, Village of Great Neck, Nassau County, NY.
