Dutchess County - The Town of LaGrange Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Rolling Meadows Subdivision. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2003, at 7:30 P.M. at the Town of LaGrange Town Hall, 120 Stringham Road, LaGrangeville, NY. Written comments on the DEIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until not less than 10 days after the close of the public hearing. The action involves ABD Dutchess, LLC, the applicant and project sponsor, proposing to develop a cluster type 130 lot residential subdivision to be known as “Rolling Meadows at LaGrange” on 170.625 acres of undeveloped land. The project includes new roads and infrastructure with connections to municipal water and sanitary sewer service. The 170.625-acre property comprises one tax lot: Dutchess County Grid number 08-6361-04-778118. The project site is located in the vicinity of NY Route 55 and Mandalay Drive in the Town of LaGrange, Dutchess County, New York.

Orange County - The Planning Board of the Town of Cornwall, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Village Center. A public hearing was held on August 4, 2003 and will be continued on September 2, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. at the Town of Cornwell Town Hall, 183 Main Street, Cornwall. Comments will be accepted by the Lead Agency through the end of business on September 16, 2003 or ten days after the close of the hearing. The action involves land use approvals for a mixed use project consisting of 21,175 s.f. of retail space and 9,000 s.f. of office space in two buildings and a future age-restricted independent living facility. The property is located in the GC (General Commercial) zoning district, on the east side of Quaker Avenue between the Cedar and Elm intersections in the Town of Cornwall.

Westchester County - The White Plains Common Council, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed 221 Main Street Project. A public hearing will be held on August 4, 2003 and continue on September 2, 2003 at 7:30 p.m. in the White Plains Common Council Chambers, Second Floor, Municipal Building, 255 Main Street, White Plains, NY. Written comments on the DEIS should be addressed to the White Plains Common Council, care of the City Clerk, City of White Plains, Municipal Building, 255 Main Street, White Plains, New York 10601. Written comments will be received for consideration by the Common Council until 5:00 p.m. 10 days following the close of the Public Hearing. The action involves new construction of an approximately 200 room hotel, 200 residential units and approximately 550,000 square feet of office use (for a total of approximagely 1.1 million square feet of floor area) with the associated parking, to be constructed in two buildings, in addition to the construction of Court Street as a new public right-of-way from Main Street to Hamilton Avenue. The project is bounded by Main Street (NY State Route 119 Eastbound), Church Street, Hamilton Avenue (NY State Route 119 Westbound) and the proposed extension of Court Street from Main Street northerly to Hamilton Avenue, White Plains.
