Nassau County - The Nassau County Planning Commission, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed WASHINGTON HOMES will not have a significant adverse environmental impact provided specific conditions are met. There will be a 30 day public comment period commencing with the date of this notice. The action involves a ten (10) lot residential subdivision in the Town of Hempstead. The project is located on the south side of Jerusalem Avenue and East of Washington Avenue.

Suffolk County - The Town Board of Riverhead, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Special Permit of North Shore Farms. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 3, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Riverhead Town Hall, Meeting Room 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead. Comments will be accepted until September 15, 2003. The action involves a request for a special permission pursuant to Article XXVIA and Section 108-45B.(5) of the Riverhead Town Code for a non-nuisance industry to process land clearing debris into mulch on a 12.9 acre parcel zoned Industrial A. The project is located on the north side of Middle Country Road approximately 4,000 ft east of Fresh Pond Ave., Calverton, Riverhead Township.
