The City of New York, Department of Environmental Protection - The Permittee is a municipal agency operating and having responsibility for the City of New York’s 14 WPCPs, (which process sewage generated within the City of New York), as well as the City’s combined and separate sanitary sewage collection facilities. The City of New York owns the 14 WPCPs. On June 27, 2002, the Staff of the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC Staff) provided the NYCDEP with notice of intent to modify the 14 WPCPs in accordance with New York State’s Environmental Benefit Permit Strategy (EBPS).
A legislative hearing on the proposed modified permit conditions will be held to receive unsworn statements from the public on September 17, 2003 at 7:00pm. A pre-adjudicatory hearing issues conference will be held on September 18, 2003 at 10:00am. Filings for party status must be received by 3:00pm on September 10, 2003.
Evergreen Recycling, LLC has applied for a permit to operate a solid waste management facility. Applicant proposes to operate a construction and demolition (C&D) debris and alternate fuels processing facility and a municipal solid waste (MSW) transfer station that will process 156,000 tons per year. The facility is located at 7077 Henry Clay Boulevard in the Town of Clay, New York.
A pre-adjudicatory hearing Issues Conference will be held at 10:30am on September 8, 2003. All filings for party status must be received at the Departmen’s Office of Hearings and Mediation Services by August 25, 2003.
