Suffolk County - The Town of Southampton, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed amendment to Chapter 330-248 in order to create the Whitecap Farm Agricultural Planned Development District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an amendment to Chapter 330-248 in order to create the Whitecap Farm Agricultural PDD. This proposed zone change shall rezone approximately 34 acres of farmland from R-80 to Agricultural Planned Development district. The project is located north of Mecox Bay, south of Horsemill Lane and south of Mecox Road in Mecox, Town of Southampton.

Nassau County - The Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed St. Francis Hospital Expansion may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on August 6, 2003 at 7:30 pm at the Village Hall, One Bonnie Heights Road, Flower Hill, New York 11030. The action involves an application to the Incorporated Village of Flower Hill for an expansion of the existing hospital facility. Such expansion will include a building addition at the cellar level in the area between the north parking garage and the hospital, and a three-story hospital bed building that would be erected above the cellar addition. A four-level below grade expansion of the East Parking Garage is also proposed, which would increase parking by 371 spaces. The project also includes the demolition of various structures such that the net increase in lot coverage is projected at 20,850 square feet. The project is located at 100 Port Washington Boulevard, Roslyn.

Suffolk County - The Suffolk County Parks, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Restoration and Management of Maritime Grassland and Savanna in T. Roosevelt County Park and Montauk Point State Park: a Plan for 2003-2012. The action involves the restoration of native maritime grasses within a 290 acre management area of T. Roosevelt County Park in order to increase the abundance of this rare community, which once dominated the landscape. Currently there are 40 acres of grassland in the management area. We propose to increase the number of units being managed and restore an additional 90 acres by 2012. By restoring another 80 acres by 2022, we will have reached the ultimate goal of 2 10 acres within the management area. This would be accomplished by using prescribed bums in conjunction with mechanical clearing of woody vegetation and then sowing of native grassland species. The project is located Theodore Roosevelt County Park Montauk Highway, Montauk, Town of East Hampton.
