The applicant proposes to modify the Mined Land Use Plan with respect to operating hours. The application is for the mining of sand, gravel and topsoil with occasional material processing using a portable dry-screen that has a capacity of less than 125 tons per hour, affecting 9.0 acres of land. Excavation below the ground water table is proposed. Approximately 0.5 acre of the mine, including part of the haul road, will be in the 100-foot Adjacent Area of Freshwater Wetland No. PE-7. The estimated life of the mine is 10 years and the reclamation objective is a 3.73 acre pond with a perimeter gravel road surrounded by meadow, for private recreation. The site is on the west side of South Dayton Road (Chautauqua County Rt 93) approximately 0.4 mile south of the Wango Road intersection.
