Proposed improvements to
the Elizabethtown Consolidated Water District. The project
includes a new groundwater source (taking up to 250 gallons per minute), a new storage
tank, and 3,500 feet of transmission main to connect the new source with the existing
groundwater source. Three water main stream crossings of The Branch and Tannery
Brook (class AA(T)) are also proposed. The new well site is located between NYS Route
9N and Scrabble Hollow Road, Town of Elizabethtown.

Applicant proposes to replace
existing deterioriated railroad ties (along 235' of shoreline)
and rock rip rap (along 90' of shoreline) with 325' of rock rip rap, backed by filter fabric
to further protect the bank from erosion. A total of approx. 40 tons of rip rap will be
installed by hand. The existing rip rap will be reused where possible. Removal of
existing retaining wall will occur in 50' increments with a mini-excavator. The project is
located along Lake Flower at 52 Duprey Street, Saranac Lake.

Proposed reconstruction
of the Hadlock Pond Dam, to repair the existing deteriorated
spillway and increase hydraulic capacity. The project includes a new fuse plug spillway,
a new 40 foot wide overflow spillway, and embankment improvements. The spillway
elevation will remain the same, with no change to the normal water level of the pond. The
water level will be temporarily lowered during construction. The dam is located at the
southern end of the pond, to the east of Hadlock Pond Road, Town of Fort Ann.
