Project Description:
The application is for approval for the newly created Helen P. Andrews Water District No. 7 in the Town of Busti, including the intallation of a water distribution system and the taking of a supply of water from the Village of Lakewood under the terms of a 1991 Water Supply Agreement. The new Water District will initially serve 35 residences with an average daily demand of 9360 gallons per day. The 30 year projected average daily demand is estimated to be 175,000 gallons per day supplying 729 services. Water District No. 7 covers all portions of the Town of Busti which are not currently served by another Water District. Project is to include initial installation of 3300 linear feet of 8 inch watermain along Gleason Road and South Maple Street (County Rte 43).
State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is a Type I action and will not have a significant effect on the environment. A coordinated review with other agencies was performed and a Negative Declaration is on file.
SEQR Lead Agency:
Busti Town Board
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
A Structural-Archaeological Assessment Form has been completed. The proposed activity will not impact on registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:
Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Aug 15 2003.
