dredge an area approximately 80' long x 10' wide and 1' deep
adjacent to island property in Goose Bay, north of the Village of Alexandria Bay on the
St. Lawrence River. The site is in regulated freshwater wetland R-3 a 27 acre Class II
emergent marsh wetland. The area to be dredged was previously open channel that has
filled with silt and debris.

feet of the project area is on lands owned by the village of Camden.

Rd., Holland Patent, N.Y. to renew and modify the mining permit for his sand and gravel
mining operation in the Town of Floyd . The proposal would increase the life of mine
boundary from 3.0 acres to 11.1 acres, with the affected area for the 5-year permit term
increasing to 7.2 acres.
Mining will include on-site
processing of mineral products. The mine is located 100 feet
north of NYS Rt. 365, 2 miles west of Floyd in the Town of Floyd.

The Department has made
a tentative determination to approve the application of the Special Metals
Corporation, a metal Alloy production plant. The State Facility Permit allows the operation of
Emission units 1-ACID1, 1-BOIL1, 1-FCE01, 1-GRIND, 1-INCIN, 1-OVEN1, 1-RMIX1, 1-SAW01
which includes acid etching and cleaning of alloys, combustion processes, furnaces for melting and
refining metal alloys, grinders to remove surface scale from metal billets, an incinerator for
confidential office papers, ovens to pre-heat and bake refractory for furnaces, refractory mortar mixers,
and saws to cut metal alloy billets. Emissions from these units Include: Particulates &
PM-10. Nox,
SO2, CO, VOC and HAPS.
The Draft Permit with
conditions is available for review in the Region 6 NYSDEC office in Utica, New
York.
