The applicant proposes to
demolish the existing Highway Department facilities and
construct a new 50,000 sq. ft. metal highway garage, metal storage bar, framed storage
barn and framed office building. As part of the overall site re-development 297 linear
feet of Northrup Creek will be relocated, so as to construct an onsite stormwater detention
basin. The project will comply with the Phase II SPDES General Permit for Storm Water
Discharges From Construction Activities (GP-02-01).

The Department is prepared
to issue a permit for the modification of a Class "A" dam,
built without Department approval, that created a pond holding 7.8 acre-ft of water on
their property located on South Hill Rd. in the Town of Middlesex, Yates County. The
proposed modification will bring the dam into compliance with Dam safety regulations.
The dam is located approximately two miles upstream on a Class C, unnamed tributary of
West River, which flows into Canadaigua Lake.
