ENB Region 3 Completed Applications 06/18/2003

The applicant proposes to construct a 12- x 20-foot deck on a private residence in the previously disturbed 100-foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland AM-26, a Class II wetland. The property is located at 154 Bog Hollow Rd., approximately 3/4 mile east of the intersection with Benton Road. Approximately two cubic yards of material will be removed for footings, and  the area beneath the deck will be graded with 1-1/2 inch trap rock.  

The applicant proposes to dredge approximately 5,000 cubic yards of accumulated sediment from 3 to 5 acres of a 30-acre lake called lake Weil.  Spoil will be stockpiled on the shoreline for off-site disposal.  The location is northeast of the intersection of Weil's Road with Rahma Road.

The applicant has requested a permit modification for its existing 26 acre sand and gravel mining operation located on the west side of White School House Road, to authorize the removal of additional material as a result of a proposed change in the side slopes for final reclamation.  The currently approved reclamation plan authorized a gradual west, sloping final floor at a lowest elevation of 320 feet.  The proposed plan will create a uniform floor elevation at 310 feet with final slopes no steeper than one vertical on two horizontal, to create open grasslands at the completion of mining.

The applicant proposes to install a 10 foot by 18 foot garden shed and a 15 foot by 26 foot pool on existing lawn in the 100 foot Adjacent Area, 38 feet from Freshwater Wetland VB-27 Class III.  This project is located on the north side of Mallory Road approximately 1,000 feet west of the intersection with Norris Road.

The applicant proposes to construct a single family residence, well, and portion of a driveway within the 100-foot adjacent area of State-designated Freshwater Wetland OL-29 (Class III).  The project site is located on the east side of Pudding Street, about 400 feet north of the intersection with Arbutus Road.  The project involves the disturbance of approximately 0.2 acre (8,300 square feet) of the wetland adjacent area for construction of the house and related structures.

The applicant proposes to remove stored vehicles and miscellaneous debris from the 100 foot adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland OL-40 (Class: III) and construct two stormwater infiltration basins.  Work is proposed in conjunction with conversion of the site from an auto repair shop to a convenience store/gas filling station.  The location is to the south-west of Peekskill Hollow Road just west of the Taconic State Parkway.
