Consolidated SPDES Renewals
Niagara County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Town of Wilson, as lead agency, has determined that the Sunset Island Sanitary Sewer and Water System will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves construction of a 4-inch diameter low pressure sanitary sewer and a 6-inch diameter water line and associated appurtenances to provide sewer and water service to the 85 residences on Sunset Island. The water system will interconnect with the existing Wilson-Tuscarora State Park water system and the Town of Wilson water system near the Crow's Nest Restaurant. The sanitary sewer system will discharge, via a forcemain to the existing Village of Wilson Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project is located on the Sunset Island in the Town of Wilson, just west of the Village of Wilson line. The "small island" is connected to the mainland directly with the "large island" being further off shore. Sunset Island is bounded on the north by Lake Ontario and on the south by Tuscarora Bay.
