Negative Declaration

Monroe County - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed N.Y. ROUTE 252 (JEFFERSON ROAD) Ballantyne Bridge-Pittsford Pt. 1 SH 8443; Pt. 2B SH 8423 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. This project will involve the reconstruction of 8.8 km of Jefferson Road (NY Route 252) from Scottsville Road (NY Route 383) to Edgewood Avenue (CR 102). It will include pavement reconstruction, roadway and operational improvements including additional turning lanes at the intersections, additional through travel lanes and raised medians in selected areas to reduce traffic congestion and accident occurrence, improvements to facilities for pedestrians and bicyclists and improvements which address structural and operational deficiencies of BIN 1043410 (Jefferson Road over the Genesee River). Portions of Scottsville Road and East River road will be reconstructed on new alignment including removal and replacement of the Scottsville Road bridge (BIN 1047210) over Black Creek. The project is located on Scottsville Road to Edgewood Avenue, in the Towns of Chili, Brighton, and Henrietta.

Orleans County - The Town of Ridgeway, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Ridgeway Water District No. 6 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the installation of 19,035 feet of 8-inch watermain along portions of Oak Orchard River Road and Knowlesville Town Line Road. The project will provide public water service to 40 parcels of land currently dependent on individual wells which produce an inadequate supply of poor quality water. These improvements are to be undertaken within the framework of the proposed Town of Ridgeway Water District No. 6. In addition to the watermain, the project includes hydrants, valves, connections, road crossings, manholes, excavation and bedding materials, and surface restoration. The project is located on portions of Oak Orchard River Road and Knowlesville Town Line Road, Town of Ridgeway.
