The applicant proposes to construct a concrete and/or vinyl sheet-pile breakwall along 102 linear feet of the Chautauqua Lake (outlet) shoreline at their address above, in the Village of Celoron.

The Village of Sherman proposes to create a park, partially in the regulated 100-foot Adjacent Area of Freshwater Wetland #SH-5.  The part of the park site within the wetland's Adjacent Area will be graded and landscaped, and a picnic pavillion and composting toilet installed.  The park site is south of NYS Route 430, north of French Creek, east of NYS Route 76 and west of the wetland.

The Department has drafted a Part 360 Permit and made a tentative determination to issue the permit for the operation of the Buffalo Oil Recovery Facility located at 60 Katherine Street in the City of  Buffalo.  Approximately 19 million gallons of used oil and non-hazardous wastewaters are processed at the facility per year, and the draft permit will authorize the processing of up to 30 million gallons of used oil per year.  The primary functions of the facility include separating water from used oil and treatment of oily water.  Most of the processed oil that remains after the removal of water from the used oil is sent to Safety-Kleen Corporation's re-refinery facilities in Breslau, Ontario, and East Chicago, Indiana, where it is re-refined into lubricating oils or processed into used oil fuels.  Pre-treated wastewater is discharged to the Buffalo Municipal Sewer System under BSA Permit No. 92-BU054.
