The Town of Batavia proposes to extend the water supply and distribution system of the District and to take for use therein a supply of water estimated to average 36,000 gallons per day from City of Batavia sources.  The project includes the installation of 22,300 linear feet of 8" water main and appurtenances to serve 129 parcels along Hopkins, Hartshorn and Pearl Street Roads.  The water line will cross regulated freshwater wetlands including AX-6, AX-15, and AX-7.  The file is available for review and comment at the NYSDEC Region 8 office.

The applicant proposes to expand an existing 172.5 acre sand and gravel mine an additional 90 acres.  The mine is located on Eagle Harbor Road in the Town of Barre. The mine will operate as a traditional surface excavation of sand and gravel aggregate using mechanical equipment standard for this type of mining activity.  No other modifications are proposed for the rate of extraction, hours of operation, processing, or methodology of the mining operation.  Final reclamation will be concurrent with mining activities and will restore the site to agricultural use.  Copies of the application materials are available for public review and comment at the Regional Office of NYS DEC.

The Town of Tyre proposes to create the Tyre Water District #1 and to take for use therein a supply of water estimated to average 28,320 gallons per day from the Village of Waterloo’s Seneca Lake source via the Towns of Waterloo and Junius.  The project includes the installation of 10,467 linear feet (LF) of 12" and 8,709 LF of 8" water main and appurtenances to serve 66 parcels along NYS Route 318, NYS Route 414, Shawn Drive, Strong Road, and Worden Road. The water line will cross the adjacent area of regulated freshwater wetlands. The file is available for review and comment at NYSDEC Region 8.
