Project Description: The project involves the subdivision of 132± into 5 lots and the construction of one single family dwelling on three of those lots. Lot 1 is a 72.236± acre lot with an existing single family dwelling and associated accessory use structures on it. Lot 2 is a vacant 1.687± acre lot, Lot 3 is a vacant 7.544± acre lot and Lot 4 is a vacant 10.614± acre lot. One new single family dwelling with on-site water supply and wastewater treatment systems is proposed for each of lots 2, 3, and 4. Lot 5 is a 40± acre non-building lot that was previously conveyed to the same persons who will be the owners of Lot 4. The project site includes about 1,000± feet of shoreline on a small pond which was created by a small dam on Efner Lake Brook. Efner Lake Brook and associated wetlands flow through the project site.

Project Description: The project is a commercial sand and gravel extraction (i.e. sand and gravel pit) with a with a 4± acre life of mine area on a 156± acre parcel of property. The applicant proposes extraction of a maximum of 1,500 cubic yards of sand on an annual basis for a period of four years. The proposed mining operation will operate from May 1 to October 31, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The sand and gravel material mined from the extraction will be used for repair and upkeep of Stillwater and Big Moose Roads. The equipment to be used in the mining operation includes a front-end loader, dump trucks and crusher. The Department of Environmental Conservation, Region 6, has a pending permit application ( #6-2154-00777/00001) for the project.

Negative Declaration

Warren County - The Town of Queensbury, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Route 9 Sewer District will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the creation of a new municipal sewer district known as the Route 9 Sewer District within the Town of Queensbury. The project will include the installation of sanitary sewer collection piping along Route 9 between Weeks Road and Route 149. The new district will include (but not limited to) commercial properties commonly known as the “Lake George Outlets”, the Warren County Municipal Center (& Public Safety Bldg.), the Great Escape Theme Park, and other Route 9 commercial properties. Wastewater will be conveyed to the City of Glens Falls Wastewater Treatment Facility. The project is located in the Town of Queensbury, 742 Bay Road, Queensbury, NY.

SERP Action - Negative Declaration

Essex County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, The Town of Moriah, as lead agency has determined that the Moriah Water System Improvements - Water Districts 1 and 2 Project # 15848 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves The proposed improvements consisting of the construction of a new 1,000,000 g.p.d. water treatment plant, pump station, two 650,000 gallon water storage tanks on existing property on Bartlett Pond Road; a new 390,000 gallon water storage tank on 3.4 acres of land to be acquired from International Paper on Barton Hill Road with transmission mains and easements to Dalton Hill Road; construct in existing ROWs 6,500 linear feet of 16" DIP to replace an existing transmission main off Plank Road; 1,300 linear feet of 12" DIP new transmission main from the new water storage tank on Barton Hill Road to Dalton Hill road; 13,250 linear feet of 8" DIP and 1,650 linear feet of 6" DIP to replace existing substandard water mains within the Witherbee and Mineville areas of Water District 1 and 2. The project is located in the Town of Moriah, Bartlett Pond Road, Plank Road, Barton Hill Road, Various Distribution Lines, Mineville, Witherbee in the Town of Moriah.
