Negative Declaration

Dutchess County - The New York State Department of Transportation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Taconic State Parkway will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action will address the safety deficiencies at the Taconic State Parkway (TSP)/Hosner Mountain Road intersection by eliminating access to the TSP from Hosner Mountain Road and requiring that local traffic access the TSP from an interchange at Route 52. The project will construct two bridges to carry Hosner Mountain Road over the Parkway on an east-west alignment 275 meters (902 ft) south of the existing TSP/Hosner Mountain Road at-grade intersection. The project is located in the Town of East Fishkill.

Orange County - The Village of Warwick Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Samaya Cafe will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the change in Use of a Commercial Use. The project is located at 18 Main Street, Village of Warwick.

Orange County - The Village of Warwick Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed 2 Lot Subdivision Approval will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves a two lot subdivision approval allowing it to create two new parcel of land on an approximately 2.8 acre tract. The project is located in the vicinity of 19 Pinecrest Street, Village of Warwick.

Positive Declaration

Orange County - The Town of Hamptonburgh Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Adoption of the Comprehensive Planning and Zoning Analysis may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The Proposed Action consists of two main elements: 1) adoption of the Comprehensive Planning and Zoning Analysis report as a supplement to the 1990 Master Plan, and 2) adoption of a series of amendments to the Zoning Code, which implement the objectives and policies set forth in the Comprehensive Planning and Zoning Analysis report. The four main zoning amendments are: 1) The creation of three new residential zoning districts and the rezoning of approximately 14,786 acres, or 90% of the land in the Town of Hamptonburgh into these districts; 2) The creation of a new special permit use, Active-Adult, Age Restricted Housing, the occupancy of which is limited to households with at least one person 55 years of age and older and no person under 18 years of age; 3) The replacement of the existing Scenic Overlay District (SOD) with the Gateway Road Overlay District (GROD); and 4) The refinement and clarification of average density and conservation subdivision regulations and procedures. The project is located in the Town of Hamptonburgh.

Westchester County The Planning Board of the Village of Tarrytown, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed office development at 155 White Plains Road may have a significant adverse impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) must be prepared. The action involves construction of a 60,000 sq. ft. office building with parking for 181 vehicles and associated landscaping, drainage/stormwater management, and utilities.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Dutchess County - The Town of LaGrange Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Town Center Zoning Amendment. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on May 7, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of LaGrange Town Hall, 120 Stringham Road, LaGrangeville, NY 12540. The action proposes to amend its current zoning code to reflect the goals and objectives identified in the town's Comprehensive Plan, adopted in 1987. The proposed action does not create new zoning districts; rather the proposed amendment will expand the zoning boundary for the existing TC-B and TC-R Zoning Districts. The project is located in the Town of LaGrange.
