The applicant proposes to install a 150' deep 14", 1200 gallon per minute irrigation well on the eastern portion of the golf course property.  The proposed project is located south of the terminus of Cherry Valley Ave., west of Golf Club Lane, in the Village of Garden City, Nassau County.

The applicant proposes a new backwash discharge from an iron removal filtration system to groundwater.  The system is associated with a public supply well.  The site is located at the at the SCWA Edgemere Street Wellfield and Pump Station, Montauk, Town of East Hampton, Suffolk County.  The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a permit for a State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit under Article 17 of the Environmental Conservation Law.  This tentative determination indicates that the discharge regulated under this statute is considered to satisfy regulator standards for permit issuance, based on information available to the Department at this time.  As a tentative determination, the Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance.  As such, this tentative determination does not signify department approval for or endorsement of the activity for which a permit is sought or for the overall proposed project.  Refer to this application by application number listed above and SPDES Number NY 0266787.  A copy of the application and draft permit are available at the Region 1 Stony Brook Office.

The applicant proposes to construct a single family dwelling, garage, swimming pool, shed, decks, a septic system and driveway.  The property is located within 100' of Freshwater Wetland NA-2, Cranberry Hole Road, Amagansett, Town of East Hampton.
