The applicant proposes a
discharge of 350 gallons per day of sanitary waste from one
outfall and 6,000 gallons per day of treated car wash waste water from a second outfall.
The facility, DBA Auto Showers Car Wash, is located at 260 Middle Country Road,
Coram, Town of Brookhaven. The proposed discharge is located within an area
designated as a sole source aquifer and the following water purveyor has been identified
as having service areas located within a 3 mile radius of the applicant's facility: Suffolk
county water authority. The Department has made a tentative determination to issue a
permit for a State Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit under Article 17 of the
Environmental Conservation law. This tentative determination indicates that the
discharge regulated under this statute is considered to satisfy regulator standards for
permit issuance based on information available to the Department at this time. As a
tentative determination, The Department seeks comments on the proposed regulated
activity prior to making a final decision on permit issuance. As such, this tentative
determination does not signify department approval for or endorsement of the activity for
which a permit is sought or for the overall proposed project. Refer to this application by

The applicant proposes to
construct a single family dwelling, sanitary system and
driveway and place 1020 cubic yards of fill on a parcel that is entirely New York State
Department of Environmental Conservation regulated tidal wetlands. The proposed
project will fill 6,900 square feet of tidal wetland vegetation. The applicant has requested
a variance from the minimum setback for principal structures and sanitary systems to
allow construction of these structures and placement of the fill directly in the tidal
wetland. The respective minimum setbacks are 75' for principal structures and 100' for
sanitary systems. The project is located on the north side of Meadow Lane west of Road
"D" in the Village of Southampton, SCTM # 904-22-1-3.

remove and replace 30 linear feet of bulkhead and construct
within 18 inches 425 linear feet of bulkhead. The applicant also proposes to dredge to 16
feet below mean low water. The area to be dredged is 90 feet wide by 350 feet long.
Approximately 5,000 cubic yards of material will be removed. The project is located at
the harbor entrance to Mitchell Park Marina in the Village of Greenport, Town of
