Consolidated SPDES Renewals
THE DISPOSAL OF NON-RECYCLABLE SOLID WASTE INCLUDING TRANSPORTATION AND FOR AN OPTIONAL DEMONSTRATION PROJECT.
The Oneida-Herkimer Solid Waste Authority (OHSWA) receives approximately 235,000 tpy of non-recyclable solid waste. The OHSWA desires to procure an agreement (pursuant to Section 120-w of New York State Municipal Law), for 2 years and 2 one year options beginning 12/2/03 for disposal of non-recyclable waste from 2 transfer stations (including transportation to an environmentally sound disposal facility). In addition, OHSWA will consider proposals for an optional waste processing demonstration project for up to 50,000 tpy at the OHSWA Western Transfer Station in Rome, N.Y. Jefferson County - Pursuant to the NYS Clean Water/Drinking Water State Revolving Fund and the State Environmental Quality Review Act, the Town of Rutland, as lead agency has determined that the Town of Rutland Water District #1 (DWSRF Project # 15941) will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves construction of approximately 62,800 lf of 6", 8" and 10" water main, approximately 45,900 lf of service laterals, and a booster pump station. The new water system will serve approximately 566 equivalent dwelling units. The project is located in Water District #1, in the Town of Rutland.
