Wayne County - The Town of Arcadia, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Arcadia Hydesville Road Water System Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The project involves the extension of public water along portions of Hydesville Road, Sandhill Road, and Hazen Lane in the Towns of Arcadia and Palmyra. A total of approximately 32,300 linear feet of watermain will be installed. In addition to the watermain, the project includes hydrants, valves, connections, road crossings, manholes, excavation and bedding materials, and surface restoration. Residents in this area are dependent upon individual groundwater supplies which historically have produced very low yields of poor quality water. The project will provide a back-up source of water supply for both communities. The project is located in portions of Hydesville Road, Sandhill Road, and Hazen Lane, Towns of Arcadia and Palmyra.
