The
Department has prepared a Draft Permit pursuant to Article 19 (Air Pollution
Control) of the NYS Environmental Conservation Law (ECL) and has made a tentative
determination to approve this application for the Applicant's facility located in Tarrytown,
New York.
This
State Facility Application (SFA) is for six (6) individual boilers located in the
basements of the six (6) buildings on the campus of Marymount College, a campus of
Fordham University. Each of the emission units has its own stack.
The
boilers are fitted with dual burners capable of firing either natural gas or #4 fuel
oil. The total fuel usage on #4 is less than 700,000 gallons per year or equivalent on gas
for a Potential to Emit (PTE) of 7 tons per year of Oxides of Nitrogen.
Fuel
usage records as well and hours of operation will be maintained to ensure the
facility remains below the Title V applicability thresholds.
By
acceptance of this permit, the permittee agrees that the permit is contingent upon
strict compliance with the ECL, all applicable regulations, the General Conditions
specified and any Special Conditions included as part of this permit.
The
Application and Draft Permit are available for review at the Regional Office of
the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
