Erie County - The Village of Hamburg, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Country Meadows Revised Planned Unit Development will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an amendment of a prior Site Plan and Planned Unit Development approval. The amendment is generally similar to the previously approved project, except that it divides the project into two phases: phase I to be constructed on a twenty two acre parcel owned by the Applicant; and Phase II to be constructed on an adjacent fifteen acre parcel formerly owned by the Village of Hamburg. Phase II will only be constructed in the event that the Applicant receives judicial or legislative approval for the construction, due to a prior judicial ruling that the parcel constitutes parkland. The amendment also reduces the number of housing units to be constructed to 278 from 301. The project is located south of Interstate 90 and is generally bounded by Crownview Terrace, Canterbury Drive, Brookwood Drive, Foxcroft Drive and Forestal Drive in the northwestern portion of the Village of Hamburg, Erie County, New York.
