Positive Declaration

Statewide - The New York State Department of Public Service, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Retail Renewable Portfolio Standard for New York State may have a significant adverse environmental impact and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves a proceeding that was instituted by the Commission to formulate a policy statement on retail Renewable Portfolio Standards (RPS) in New York State and potential to establish implementation measures of the policy. Among the issues the commission will be considering in the proceeding that may have an impact on the environment in New York State are:

Public Notice

Water Quality Management Projects funded through Section 604 (b) of the Clean Water Act

The NYS Department of Environmental Conservation announces the availability of funds for Water Quality Management proposals that promote regional comprehensive water quality management planning activities as described in Section 604(b) of the federal Clean Water Act. Priority will be given to proposals that support: County Water Quality Coordinating Committees and Implementation of the Phase II Stormwater Regulations. Eligible applicants include New York State regional planning boards and councils, interstate organizations, municipal governments, county governments and conservation districts. Local match is required. Proposals are due 4/28/03 by 11:00 am.
