The applicant has proposed
a 9.3 acre expansion to an existing 7 acre mine. The revised
reclamation plan is for a larger 11.0 acre pond. The Department of Environmental
Conservation owns a 25' easement through the property for clearing and snagging for
flood control purposes. The proposed plan, which DEC has approved conceptually,
would reroute the easement. A larger staging area at the Susquehanna River's edge is
being proposed as part of the easement. The project is located on Route 11, south of
Trim Street.
