The applicant proposes operation of a new 2.75 acre, total life of mine, sand and gravel pit.  The site is part of a 6.51 acre parcel owned by Gilberta Carter, and is located on the east side of Rt. 374, approximately 1,200 feet south of Co. Rt. 54 intersection. Approximately 3,000 to 4,000 cubic yards of material will be removed per year, and there will be no on-site processing.  The site will be reclaimed to allow native grasses and woody vegetation to re-establish.  A permit is also required from the Adirondack Park Agency, APA # 2003-31.
