Suffolk County - Please take notice that a public hearing will be held by the Town Board of the Town of Southampton on March 11, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at Southampton Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY, to hear any and all persons either for or against "A Local Law amending Chapter 330 (Zoning) of the Code of the Town of Southampton to create a new Section 330-69.4 regarding remedies and penalties for violations in the Aquifer Protection Overlay District".
Copies of the proposed local law, are on file in the Town Clerk's Office, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Suffolk County - The Town of Brookhaven, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Holt Hotel will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves that the department has made a tentative determination to issue a SPDES permit for a discharge of 26,066 gallons per day of treated sanitary waste to groundwater located at Middle Avenue and LIE South Service Road, Brookhaven, New York. The proposed discharge is located within an area designated as a sole source aquifer. The following public water purveyors have been identified as having service areas located within a three mile radius of the applicant’s facility: 1) Suffolk County Water Authority. SPDES NY-0253430. The project is located on Mill Road, Brookhaven.

Nassau County - The West Hempstead Public Library Board of Trustees, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed West Hempstead Public Library. The action involves demolition of existing on-site facilities and construction of a new library on a 0.84 acre parcel on the southeast corner of Hempstead Avenue and Locust Street in West Hempstead, New York. The new library will consist of a 1 ˝ story 26,000 sq ft building with facility access for vehicles and pedestrian along Hempstead Avenue. The project site is located on the southeast corner of Hempstead Avenue and Locust Street in the Village of West Hempstead, Town of Hemstead.
