ENB Region 1 Completed Applications 03/05/2003

The applicant proposes to remove existing piles and floats, and install 3 floating docks (5' by 247', 5' by 161' and 5' by 247') with finger floats and pilings, two 7' by 24' floats and fixed open wavebreaks, remove an existing travel lift and excavate landward of the bulkhead to install a larger travel lift.  The project is located at 1960 Bayberry Avenue, Merrick, Town of Hempstead, Nassau County, NCTM# Section 63, Block 158, Lot 114.

The applicant proposes to construct a 14-foot by 40-foot stone revetment / armor on the seaward face of an existing concrete seawall.  The stones will fill approximately 560 square feet of shoals and mudflats.  The project is located at 26 Bay Avenue on Hempstead Harbor, Sea Cliff, Town of Oyster Bay, Nassau County.

The applicant proposes to install two new public supply wells to a depth of approximately 40 feet with a pump capacity of 50 gallons per minute each.  The wells are to be used for public water supply purposes and will be connected to the existing distribution system. The proposed wells are in the vicinity of freshwater wetlands (#s SO-1,  SO-9 and SO-10).  The project is located at the North Road Well Field, south side of North Road, 350 feet west of Moore's Lane, Greenport, Town of Southold, Suffolk County.  

The applicant proposes an aquatic habitat enhancement project at a pond on the Gatelot Avenue Elementary School property. The activities proposed include excavating the pond area to a depth of four feet, creating a berm with the excavated materials, and replanting the area with native wetland vegetation. The project is located at Gatelot Elementary School at 65 Gatelot Avenue in Lake Ronkonkonma, Town of Brookhaven in Suffolk County, SCTM# 200-621-01-18.1.
