The applicant proposes to
install a complete water supply and distribution system to serve
the Eastern Brutus Water District No. 2, and to take a supply of water with an estimated
average of 130,000 gallons per day, from the City of Auburn system, for use in this
system by the a connection to existing facilities of the Cayuga County Water & Sewer
Authority. Approximately 35,520 linear feet of 12-inch water main and appurtenances
(hydrants, valves, etc.) will be placed within the right-of-way between NYS Routes 31
and 5, Pump, Cooper and Stevens Roads, with a pump station off of Pump Road and a
300,000 gallon storage tank off Chamberlin Road. There are DEC Freshwater Wetlands
that will be crossed: W-25, W-28 and W-30, therefore a DEC Wetlands Permit has also
been requested, along with a Water Quality Certificate and the Water Supply Permit.
