Applicant proposes to operate
a construction and demolition (C & D) processing facility
on a five acre site located within its existing sand and gravel mine. The C & D facility
will be located immediately adjacent to the company's top soil composting facility. The
proposed facility plans to accept up to 500 tons per day of recognizable concrete and
masonry waste, asphalt pavement and soil and rock debris for storage prior to processing.
When sufficient material has accumulated, portable crusher(s) and screens will be used to
process this material for future off-site use. Access to the C & D facility will use the
existing mine access road off West Hook Road. The facility is proposed to operate
Monday through Friday, 6 A.M. to 7 P.M., with actual material processing limited to 7
A.M. to 5 P.M.

system improvements are associated with the construction of campus athletic facility and
parking improvements. The project will require compliance with the State Pollutant
Discharge Elimination System General Permit for stormwater discharges from
construction activities (GP-02-01).
