The Town of Wappinger's Meadowwood Water District
has applied for a Water
Supply permit (WSA#10310) to install a complete water supply and distribution system
to serve the Meadowwood Subdivision and to take a supply of water for use in the
District estimated to average 14 gallons per minute (gpm) from two wells, having tested
capacities of 150 gpm each, for a combined total capacity of 300 gpm. The surplus
water from these wells would be used to supplement the water supplies of the Town's
Central Wappinger Water Improvement Area (CWWIA) and other Town water supply
systems connected to CWWIA. The two wells and the Meadowwood Water District are
located adjacent to Sprout Creek, near the intersection of Old Hopewell Road and All
Angels HIll Road, in the Town of Wappinger, Dutchess County, NY.

The applicant proposes to
construct and operate a Construction and Demolition (C&D)
debris transfer station facility at an existing two acre property located at 240 Washington
Street. Two of the three buildings on this property will be used. One building will be
used to receive incoming C&D for processing, including the removal of recyclables for
temporary storage prior to transfer to off-site facilities. The second building will be used
for administration offices and also contain the maintenance operations. Residual C&D
will be transferred to other facilities for disposal. The design capacity of the facility is
500 tons per day and the facility is proposed to operate 24 hours per day, Monday through
Friday, closing at 2PM on Saturday.
