The applicant proposes to
renew and modify an existing Mined Land Reclamation permit
for a 124.7 acre sandstone mine at 3405 Hulberton Road in the Town of Murray. Acreage
proposed to be affected during the 2003-2008 permit term is 68.3 acres. The applicant
proposes to add approximately 9 acres to the Life of Mine (LOM), associated with the
plant and stockpile area, that have already been in use. Although additional acreage is
being added to the LOM, the boundaries of the LOM have changed, resulting in an
overall reduction of the excavation area and LOM acreage totals.
