Saratoga County - The City of Saratoga Springs, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed City of Saratoga Springs Water Source Development Project. A public hearing to receive comments on the DEIS will be held on March 6, 2003, at 7:00 PM at the Music Hall, Third Floor, City Hall, Saratoga Springs. Comments on the DEIS will be accepted until July 7, 2003 at 5:00 PM. Comments should be sent to the Contact Person listed below. The action involves the development of a new water supply source to meet the long-term water supply needs of the City of Saratoga Springs. The primary alternative is to use Saratoga Lake as an additional water supply source. The project is located in the City of Saratoga Springs.

Saratoga County - The Town of Malta Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Generic Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Luther Forest Technology Campus - Application for establishment of Planned Development District. Two public hearings to receive oral and written comments on the DGEIS will be held on Thursday, February 20, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. at the Town of Malta Community Center, One Bayberry Drive, Malta, New York and on Wednesday, February 26, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. at the Stillwater Community Center, Palmer Street, Stillwater, New York. Written comments on the DGEIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person listed below by mail or in person until the close of business on Monday, March 24, 2003. The action involves construction and operation of the Luther Forest Technology Campus, a nanotechnology manufacturing campus with ancillary uses on a 1,350+ acre project site in the Towns of Malta and Stillwater, as well as off-site road mitigation measures and utility improvements, including water, sewer, electric power, telecommunications and natural gas, through creation of a Planned Development District (PDD) under the Town of Malta and Stillwater zoning laws allowing such land use and development. The project is located in the Towns of Malta and Stillwater, Saratoga County, south of Saratoga Lake, east of State Routes 9 and 67, north of Round Lake and west of Cold Springs Road.
