Jefferson County - The Village of Sackets Harbor, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Sackets Harbor - Water and Wastewater Extension Facilities will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The water project will service approximately 56 single family residences with 6,850 linear feet of ductile iron water mains and 2,275 linear feet of 3/4 inch copper service laterals with fire hydrants, corp and curb stops, and individual meters to each user. The proposed source will be the Village of Sackets Harbor existing water distribution system which would replace individual drilled and shore wells that are of poor quality. The sanitary sewer project is composed of 2,500 lineal feet of 8 inch gravity sewer mains and 850 linear feet of 4 inch gravity sewer laterals with 3,200 linear feet of 6 inch forcemain and 2 pump stations. The wastewater will be transported to the Village’s existing wastewater treatment facilities via the pump stations and 6 inch forcemain.
