Public Notice
Niagara County - Please take notice that the Town of Wheatfield will accept proposals for refuse and recycling contracts until 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 27, 2002. Requests for proposals are available in the office of DeEtte S. Ferchen, Town Clerk, 2800 Church Road, North Tonawanda, New York during regular business hours. The request for proposals will also be available in the North Tonawanda City Library and the Sanborn Public Library.

Erie County - The Erie County Water Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Harris Hill Pump Station, Contract NC-27, Project No. 200000378 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the construction of improvements to increase water supply and pressure to major portions of the Town of Clarence, Alden, Newstead, and the northern section of the Town of Lancaster, by working in conjunction with the existing Broadway Pump Station. The Project will also serve to provide water supply at the Genesee County line for the Monroe County Water Authority’s use in Genesee County. The project is located at 8630 Main Street, Town of Clarence. The project includes the following components:

The action involves the construction of improvements to increase water supply and pressure to major portions of the Town of Clarence, Alden, Newstead, and the northern section of the Town of Lancaster, by working in conjunction with the existing Broadway Pump Station. The Project will also serve to provide water supply at the Genesee County line for the Monroe County Water Authority’s use in Genesee County. The project is located at 700 ft South of William Street, Lancaster. The project includes the following components:

Erie County - The Erie County Water Authority, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed City of Tonawanda Water System Improvements will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the installation of improvements required to allow consolidation of the City of Tonawanda Water system with the Erie County Water Authority. The project will include the following components: Installation of a 24-inch transmission main from the existing ECWA 48-inch transmission main to the existing Veterans Park Pump Station, Improvements and upgrades to the existing Veterans Park Pump Station and existing 4.0 million gallon tank; construction of a new 1.25 million gallon single fluted column elevated potable water storage tank, demolition of the existing elevated 500,000 gallon Hackett water tank, replacement of the customer water meters for all customers in the City of Tonawanda. The project is located in various locations in the City of Tonawanda and the Town of Tonawanda.
