Positive Declaration

Ulster County - The Planning Board of the Town of Shawangunk, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Wallkill Valley Acres Section C. Subdivision may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves the subdivisiion of approximately 39.5 acres of land within an SB Small Business and a R-Ag 1 Residential Agricultural District in the Hamlet of Wallkill, Town of Shawangunk, Ulster County, New York. The subject property is also located within the AQ-O Aquifer Protection Overlay District. The proposed action seeks to subdivide the existing undeveloped parcel into ninety-one residential building lots with access proposed to be provided by a series of loop and cul-de-sac roads proposed to be dedicated to the Town. Extensions of Town public sewer and water districts and related mains are proposed to accommodate the proposed action. The project is located on the northerly side of CE Penney Drive in the Hamlet of Wallkill, Town of Shawangunk.

Notice of Acceptance of Draft EIS and Public Hearing

Rockland County - The Suffern Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Suffern Pines Proposed Subdivision. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on February 19, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. at the Suffern Village Hall, 61 Washington Avenue, Suffern, New York. Written Comments on the Draft EIS will be accepted until March 3, 2003, or ten days following the close of public hearing, whichever is later. The action involves the proposed subdivision of an 8.72-acre parcel of property into 28-lot single-family detached residential lots. The project is located on the Town of Ramapo tax maps as Map 16B, Lot 36, and is located in the incorporated Village of Suffern, Rockland County, NY. The property maintains frontage on the north side of Memorial Drive and is located just south of the intersection of Memorial Drive with Montebello Road.
