Project Description:

The applicant proposes to construct a gravel driveway using #2 stone over an old farm road through an existing wet hayfield. The driveway will be 12' Wide x 320' Long x 1' Deep (6" below grade, and 6" above grade) through the wet area, with a total driveway length of 100'. Horizontal 6" diameter drain pipes will be installed under the driveway every 75' through the wet area. The driveway is necessary to access upland farm equipment storage area. The project is located on the west side of Lyons Street, just south of Cooks Road in Peru in Freshwater Wetland #KV-1, a Class II wetland.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination: Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was not performed.

SEQR Lead Agency: None Designated

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination: Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.

Coastal Management: This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Opportunity for Public Comment: Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Jan 10 2003.
